For those that haven't already found this great set of application icons, I present to you the Fam Fam Fam "Silk" icon set. I've been using these for a couple of months and just love the modern look and the fact that over 700 icons means you're certain to always find the icon you need from the pack. This keeps your icon set consistent across your application.

Another great attribute to this icon set is the price. Hey, when you work in an academic setting, "FREE" really gets your attention! There are some licensing details, so I would encourage reading through the documentation once you've downloaded the zip file.

Silk Set is great.
I’ve created a special version which is “backwards compatible” with IE6. You don’t get any blue border!

Thanks David. I think you’ve made a big contribution to the community with this (Lord knows we need all the IE6 help we can get out there). I think I’ll make a new post just for this news.
